REACH conformity: safety through transparency
EC Regulation No. 1907/2006, better known as the REACH Regulation (‘REACH’ stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals), which came into force on 1 June 2007, regulates the handling of chemical substances in preparations and articles. The aim of this regulation is to ensure complete traceability and control of the substances used - from the manufacturer to the end customer.
By complying with the REACH regulation, we ensure that our products do not contain any chemicals that are harmful to health or the environment in unauthorised quantities. This means greater safety for our customers, as the use of certain hazardous substances is severely restricted or even prohibited.
RoHS conformity: Restriction of hazardous substances
The RoHS Directive (Restriction of Certain Hazardous Substances) relates specifically to electrical and electronic equipment and is part of EU Directive 2011/65/EU. Its aim is to limit certain hazardous substances in such products in order to reduce environmental pollution and protect human health.
A RoHS-certified product fulfils strict regulations regarding the use of harmful substances such as lead, cadmium, mercury and hexavalent chromium. These substances are known to be difficult to dispose of and harmful to the environment. At WTA Wachsmuth GmbH & Co.
